Goddess – towards a feminine spirituality

Next Post.

With all the things that have been going on lately, I’ve come to the realisation that I’m going to be working with women’s spirituality. Starting in the 1980s, I’ve worked with women in TAFE, in Career Education for Women and New Opportunities for Women. These programs were started for women in the `empty nest’ years when their children have left home. They were designed to give them educational skills to re-enter the workforce and I’m proud to say many of them went on to bigger and better lives as a result of it. I was chosen because as a mature age student, I had studied at University whilst bringing up a daughter and was well aware of the problems and could offer practical skills and advice.

Now that I’ve been fired' from the church, for not being apractising’ Christian, like a card holding unionist, I’ve realised this role as a volunteer in a church organisation, just doesn’t fit any more, if it ever did. The time for feminist principles is well and truely here, the feminine energy is in ascendance, and I’m going to take up the role, I’ve unconsciously being led to. Its suddenly become conscious and I know the direction I’m headed. I see now that everything has been leading to this point. I was just not aware of it. The chanting, the toning, the healing, all lead to a feminine spirituality and its a wave that’s growing in force and power. So my new working space a Japanese garden kendo is for me to develop this free of the restrictions of the male dominated churches. They are on the way out. This is only the start of the revolution that’s coming.
There are very few who can see it, but I can and I intend to act on it and ride the wave.

By the earth that is Her body
By the air that is Her breath,
By the fire that is her bright spirit,
By the living waters of her womb,
The circle is open, but unbroken,
The peace of the Goddess go in our hearts,
Merry meet, and merry part, and merry meet again.
Blessed Be.
